About Michal
Michal Jones is a member of Howser, Newman, & Besley whose practice focuses on construction litigation, products liability, premises liability, automobile insurance, and worker’s compensation. She started at the firm as an intern in 1997 while she was still an undergraduate student, and she has since established herself as a major asset to both the firm and its clients.
When working on a case, Michal makes a point to carefully consider her clients’ concerns so that she can put together creative solutions based on their goals and aspirations. As no two cases are totally alike, Michal understands the importance of treating each case with the same amount of care and attention to detail. She customizes and tailors her legal strategies to the needs of each specific client and makes sure that each plan she puts together can be executed effectively.
During her time at Howser, Newman & Besley, Michal has worked in a variety of courts and handled a wide variety of cases successfully. Her ability to communicate clearly has helped her establish a record of success and, like the other attorneys at the firm, she maintains a high expectation for a high level of ethics. She maintains an AV peer-review rating from Martindale Hubbell, which is the highest rating possible for both ethics and ability in the legal profession.
Michal has served as an adjunct professor at Presbyterian College, teaching a class in civil trial practice she developed with fellow member Bill Besley.
Outside of her practice of the law, Michal and her family are active members of Mt. Horeb United Methodist Church in Lexington, South Carolina.
