Geov Hanna joined Howser, Newman, & Besley in 1998 and is now a member of the firm. He focuses his practice on litigation and handles cases involving premises liability, auto accidents, and products liability defense. Prior to joining Howser, Newman & Besley, Geov was the law clerk to the Honorable James C. Williams, Jr.
As a skilled trial lawyer, Geov understands that not all cases need to go to trial. He knows when to settle, but he’s also not afraid of taking cases to trial when necessary. In addition to his reputation as a tenacious trial lawyer, Geov also credits his success as an attorney to his ability to treat all parties involved in a case fairly and with respect.
Geov makes a point to communicate as clearly and consistently as possible so that there is no confusion about what he believes is the best course of legal action for his clients. Like the rest of the attorneys at Howser, Newman, & Besley, Geov is committed to getting his clients to the finish line as quickly and economically as feasible. That philosophy is why both Geov and the firm have a long history of client success and satisfaction. With each case he takes on, he is committed to finding the best, most effective, and least expensive solution for the particular legal issue. Geov’s clients appreciate that they can always expect him to be upfront and honest about the details of their cases.
Highly regarded by both his peers and his clients, Geov has been recognized by Best Lawyers in the area of Product Liability Litigation each year since 2012, as well as by Columbia Business Monthly as among the elite in insurance law each year since 2015. In addition to his work as an attorney, he speaks several times a year at CLE seminars in the areas of auto insurance coverage and trial techniques.
